Bank Holiday Weekend, 1-3 May
THIS EVENT IS RUNNING!
We hope you are well, thriving, and even running! While we can’t all be together, talking to many people around Radlett meant we came up with another way to complete this year’s Fun Run and importantly, continue to raise money for local charities at the same time. We really hope you will join us!
Due to the the pandemic, this year’s event will be a Virtual or DIY fun run. We want you to run wherever you want, whenever you want (over the weekend) and to donate whatever you want to Rotary supported charities.
Simply run your chosen distance (1½ km OR 5 km), maybe with a group of up to 5 friends within the pandemic rules, and submit your time to us. You can use one of the many free mobile phone apps to measure your distance, such as Strava, RunKeeper, Garmin, etc.
Register your time with us and we will include you in our published results. And we will issue medals to all registered finishers, though we may ask you to collect these from a convenient spot in Radlett.
HERE’S HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Support our chosen charity (optional) via our Just Giving Page
<< Make a Donation >>
As a reminder, contributions in previous years were £5 per Child, £10 per adult. All donations are shared between Rotary supported charities and Hertsmere Mencap. Please consider asking friends/family for sponsorship which can be given to the nominated charity.
Once you have registered, you will receive an email. Keep this! After your run, click the link to edit your entry and you will get the chance to update each entry with your finish time, if you would like to be included in our published results. We will also issue medals to all registered runners, though we may ask you to collect these from a convenient spot in Radlett.
Finally, if you would like a running number, please indicate on the registration form and we will do our best to get you one before the weekend!
And that’s it! Really simple:
1. Register, 2. Donate, 3. Run, 4. Update your time!
The results will be posted here on our website after the event. If you can send us any photos, we will endeavour to publish them here too.
LOOKING FORWARD TO IT
So, please reserve some time over the bank holiday weekend of 1st – 3rd May to join in virtually, and thanks for your support.
Please be aware and considerate of others while running.
