The Radlett Rotary Fun Run 2012 - Entry Form
This years run takes place on Spring Bank Holiday Monday 4th June 2012 at the Tabard Rugby Club Grounds in Radlett at 10am.

New PAYE Penalties
From the tax year 2010/2011, HMRC is introducing new penalties for late payment of PAYE, NICs, Student Loan deductions and CIS liabilities. These penalties will apply to all employers who are late making their in year payments and will replace the system of surcharges which was previously applicable only to large employers required to make mandatory electronic payments.

VAT - Cheque payments by post
From 1 April 2010 all VAT cheque payments by post will be treated as being received by HMRC on the date when cleared funds reach their bank account. Time must therefore be allowed for the payment to reach HMRC and to clear into HMRC’s bank account no later than the due date.

Changes to how HM Revenue & Customs carries out compliance checks from 1 April 2009
The way HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) carries out compliance checks (also known as enquiries, visits and inspections) will change from 1 April 2009. These changes will affect how we manage compliance checks for Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT, PAYE, the Construction Industry Scheme and Corporation Tax

New Statutory Duties Of Directors
As from 1st October 2007, the Companies Act 2006 has introduced seven new duties for directors. Although these are new to the Companies Act, they have existed in case law for some time. These are:-

Cold calls: check the law, it's changing
Businesses that use the phone to ‘cold call’ need to be aware of new regulations coming into effect in a couple of weeks time, on June 25th. From that date, businesses will need to check their calling lists with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) or face a possible fine or enforcement procedures.
